 Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts Dear AANMA Friends, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your donation to the AANMA Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort. Your response was incredibly inspiring to all of us at AANMA and, most importantly, to the children, parents and elderly people suddenly made homeless by this disaster. I also wanted to personally assure you that your donation was received and distributed by Prem Menon, MD, to families in 12 Baton Rouge shelters. Dr. Menon has always noted that federal, state and local assistance have been good but that the needs overwhelm the available goods. The needs will be long term, and for some people and areas it will take years to recover. It is important that we pace our support so that people are not forgotten. We will update this Web page with information on future needs and stories of the families you've helped. In the meantime, we thank you for your generosity.
