President and Founder
Nancy Sander founded Allergy & Asthma Network Mothers of Asthmatics (AANMA) in 1985 to eliminate death and suffering due to asthma, allergies and related conditions. AANMA’s core areas of expertise are education ^[1], advocacy ^[2] and community outreach ^[3]. Highlights of recent AANMA activities include lifesaving federal and state legislation on behalf of students with asthma and anaphylaxis ^[4], exposure of unregulated asthma and COPD medications and groundbreaking Medicaid patient/provider research.

Editor-in-chief of Allergy & Asthma Today ^[5] magazine and The MA Report ^[6] newsletter, Nancy is a prolific writer of asthma and allergy publications, children’s books and videos. She is also a frequent speaker at conferences nationwide and testifies at the national and state level on patient rights to safe, reliable medications and healthcare.
