Allergy & Asthma Network Mothers of Asthmatics (AANMA)’s 13th annual Asthma Awareness Day Capitol Hill 2010 on May 5 was a great success!
Every year Allergy & Asthma Network Mothers of Asthmatics (AANMA) goes to Capitol Hill on behalf of people with asthma, allergies and related conditions. We share your issues and upcoming challenges with members of Congress – many of whom we work with closely the rest of the year, too. In the 13 years since AANMA held our first Asthma Awareness Day Capitol Hill, the day has often been a time to recognize triumphs – in 2010, we celebrated that all 50 states now have laws protecting students’ rights to carry and self-administer their lifesaving asthma medications at school. AANMA worked with volunteers and legislators in every state to achieve this goal, and we are truly grateful to those in Congress who supported our efforts.
