Schools-administration of epinephrine : This act authorizes a district board to acquire, maintain and dispense to schools within the district a supply of epinephrine auto-injectors for use in emergency situations. This act directs the department of education, in consultation with the department of health, to develop and make available guidelines on the:
This act provides that district boards, school nurses, school employees, and other designated personnel shall not be liable for damages resulting from the administration of or failure to administer epinephrine auto-injectors that may constitute ordinary negligence. The Governor signed the bill into law on March 7, 2014. It will take effect on July 1, 2014.
