Asthma Awareness Day Capitol Hill 2005 Mothers' Choice Award Winners

Senator Mike DeWine (R-OH)
Senator Edward Kennedy (D-MA)
Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH)

Congressman Joe Barton (R-TX)
Congressman Patrick Kennedy (D-RI)
Congressman Cliff Stearns (R-FL)

Some said the Asthmatic School Children's Treatment and Health Management Act of 2004 (ASTHMA 2004) would never happen - not in an election year. But they underestimated the determination of this year's Mothers' Choice Award winners, who championed the bill through both the House and Senate and straight to the White House . . . in 18 months! Today, schoolchildren with asthma and anaphylaxis and their parents and teachers can all breathe with relief as states enact laws protecting student access to critical medications. Thank you!
