James And the Missing Inhaler

James asked his grandma if he could play in her basement. His grandma said, “Because of your allergies and asthma, you will need an allergy tablet first. It is very damp and musty down there.” After taking his allergy medicine, James went to the basement with his inhaler.
He spent the afternoon exploring the basement, playing video games and reading books. While he was exploring, he found a mysterious door that wouldn’t open.
In the evening, after supper, he realized he had left his inhaler in the basement. When he went down to get it, he couldn’t find it.
James went upstairs to tell his grandma his inhaler was missing. Grandma asked, “Who would want to take your inhaler?” James said, “I don’t know. Maybe John is teasing me?”
John was in his room listening to music. James asked John if he took his inhaler.
John replied, “No, why would I do that?”
“Okay, then, if you didn’t do it, who did?” James asked.
John said, “I don’t know. That’s your problem.” James left the room and went to bed.
The next morning, James asked his grandma if he could go back downstairs. Grandma gave him another allergy tablet and told him to have fun. James brought his spare inhaler with him. When he went upstairs for lunch, he found his inhaler was missing again! He searched all over for it but couldn’t find it.
James asked John again if he took his inhaler. John said, “Why would I want to steal all of your inhalers? I don’t have asthma.”
James had only one inhaler left.
The next day, James played in the basement again. When his grandma called him for lunch, he went upstairs and ate his lunch faster than normal. This time, when he went back downstairs, he found an alien holding his inhaler. The alien saw him and started to run towards the mysterious door. James ran after him and grabbed him just as the alien touched the door. Suddenly James was in a lab in another world.
James asked the alien, “Who are you? Why do you have my inhaler? That’s my last one.”
The alien used his English translator and said, “I’m Peezo, and I’m trying to figure out why you use this.”
James said, “I need it to help me breathe.”
Peezo said, “I can cure your breathing problems. I’ve been using your inhalers to create a super device.”
Suddenly a floating robot scanned James, beeped three times, and gave James an inhaler made just for him. James used the inhaler, and his asthma was cured. James was amazed and thanked Peezo.
Peezo said, “I’m guessing you want to go home.”
James replied, “Yes, but will you visit me sometime?”
Peezo answered, “I’d love to!”
